1st annual Holmen Cheese Fest

HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) -- The Holmen Area Community Center hosted its first annual Cheese Fest.

Attendees indulged in a variety of cheesy activities. the festivities began with an arts and crafts vendor market, followed by a mac and cheese contest.

Throughout the day, guests enjoyed live music performed by talented local artists from Holmen, alongside an array of food options. The executive director of the Holmen Area Community Center expressed her delight, emphasizing how much she has been enjoying the event.

"We thought we would challenge people to make mac and cheese, so this year we only had seven entries. We hope next year we will have closer to 10 or 12. We will be capping it there so if you want to get into the mac and cheese contest next year, you'll have to sign up early," said Robin Moses.

Organizers are optimistic that Cheese Fest will become a cherished annual tradition.
