Softball program draws players to Winona
Young softball players filled Winona’s ball fields at West Lake Park and the Winona Middle School last weekend for the Winstars’ yearly Stars and Strikes Tournament. Thirty teams participated in the tournament with players from across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Many of the Winstars’ own older players come from different towns to play, learn, and grow together.

Both 14u Cali Crush girls softball teams went undefeated in tournament play this weekend. Cali Crush Pink was 3-0 in Winona. But with heavy rain on Saturday, the fields were not playable for Sunday’s games. WH Foundation Miller Classic set for Aug. 12
The 2024 Ben & Adith Miller Classic, an annual event supporting local patients, will be on Monday, August 12, at Cedar Valley Golf Course, 25019 County Road 9, in Winona. The Ben & Adith Miller Classic features an 18-hole Main Event and a nine-hole Green Monster Challenge, which are both four-person scrambles. Advanced registration is required for both events.
