Did You Know That Railroad Police Exist In Minnesota + Wisconsin?
I was driving to the Nemadji Golf Course in Superior, Wisconsin yesterday and I was running late for my tee time. I noticed in the distance what looked to be a squad car, but it wasn't the normal city's squad car color. Instead, it was a white SUV. I tapped...

BROOKSTON, Minn. (Northern News Now) - It’s been two weeks since a severe wind storm carved a 150-mile path across Northern Minnesota, taking down trees and powerlines from Bemidji to Duluth. The system left more than 10,000 Northland homes and cabins in the dark. That’s when the unsung heroes...
Anglers eagerly eye diverse waters as Bassmaster Opens head to Leech Lake for the first time
WALKER, Minn. — Leech Lake might not be the final frontier, but it’s certainly the first time B.A.S.S. has visited the remote fishery in northern Minnesota. Leech is far from the great unknown, however, at least to bass anglers here on the fringe of America’s Midwest. To hear them talk, it’s been a destination lake of sorts for several decades now, despite the fact that it’s closer to Canada’s southern border than it is to the state capital of St. Paul (sister city of Minneapolis about 3½ hours southeast).

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is reminding residents about an increase in the number of pertussis, or whooping cough, cases across the state. Busch, Pehler donate to Trempealeau FD
Anheuser-Busch and Pehler Distributing, Inc. are joining forces with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) to deliver more than 2,350 cans of emergency drinking water to Trempealeau Fire Department in Trempealeau, as part of the brewer’s larger effort to provide 1.5 million cans to volunteer fire departments across the country. This donation will prepare local volunteer firefighters with vital resources ahead of the annual summer wildfire season rather than waiting for disaster to strike. The continued partnership builds on Anheuser-Busch’s longstanding history of showing up for its communities and demonstrates its deep appreciation for the first responders who help to keep them safe.
