CALUMET CITY, Ill. - Calumet City has issued a mandatory boil water order for some south suburban residents. Those affected live in the Park of River Oaks, a private residential development, located at 150 Park Avenue. The order comes in response to numerous pipeline leaks that private contractors are attempting to repair, city officials said.

Urbana, IL – A Chicago man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an alleged theft at a Walgreens in Champaign’s Campustown. According to University of Illinois Police, 29-year-old Geovontae Galloway was apprehended after officers responded to a shoplifting report at the Walgreens on East Green Street at 12:36 p.m. The store manager reported three men stealing merchandise and placing it in their backpacks. Based on descriptions, officers linked them to a series of previous retail thefts in the area.
