Snow Hill Man arrested for B&E to motor vehicle
KPD's D-Squad responded to the 700 block of Harding Avenue for a report of a vehicle B&E. Officers arrived in the area and located the offender, Zaire Corbitt (21 of Snow Hill, NC). As officers attempted to make contact with Corbitt he fled on foot. After a lengthy foot chase, Corbitt was taken into custody without further incident. Corbitt was charged with B&E to a Motor Vehicle and Resisting a Public Officer. Corbitt was placed in the LC Jail without bond due to being on pre-trial release.

WITNERVILLE, N.C. (WKRC) - Authorities said a DoorDasher dashed with cash last Thursday. According to WITN, two DoorDash drivers dropped by Pizza Hut in Winterville, North Carolina at around 1:45 p.m. last Thursday. Per the station, while one of the men waited for their order, the other was seen on camera picking up a purse from a table and then leaving the restaurant. The other Dasher continued to wait for his order, according to the outlet.

Sheriff's office: Two dead, one injured in shooting
Two people are dead and another person was taken to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville after a shooting Sunday in the early morning hours in the rural southern part of Edgecombe County, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. According to the sheriff’s office, a call came in shortly after 3 a.m. about a shooting on Branchwood Lane, which is south of Tarboro and in the Old Sparta area between Pinetops and Conetoe. Deputies found the two deceased people at the scene — Odis Draughn III, 29, and Tellton Jones, 28. A third person had suffered a gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office said. The sheriff’s office said that detectives are pursuing leads in the case and that anyone with any additional information should call (252) 641-7911 and ask to speak with a deputy.
