HOOKS, Texas ( KETK ) – The Texas Medical Board (TMB) said that a Hooks physician assistant had his license temporarily suspended on Wednesday.

According to the TMB, David Anthony Ward’s license was temporarily suspended by the board because he “acted in an unprofessional or dishonorable manner, habitually used drugs or intoxicating liquors and suffers from an impairment that is currently not being managed or monitored.”

According to the board, a temporary suspension hearing will be held as soon as practical unless Ward decides to waive the hearing. Ward’s suspension will remain in place until the board announces any further action.

Ward’s license shows that he graduated from the UT Health San Antonio School of Health Professions and his primary practice address is listed as 2001 North Jefferson Avenue in Mount Pleasant.
