If you watched college basketball in any capacity during the early 2010s, you are probably familiar with former BYU star Jimmer Fredette — the headliner of the U.S. 3x3 men's basketball team in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Fredette will be a first-time Olympian this summer when he takes the floor for Team USA's opening game against Serbia on Tuesday in Paris just over 13 years after earning Naismith and CBS Sports player of the year honors for the 2010-11 season.

Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from Lehi High School (UT) offensive guard Tommy “Rock” Olsen. Olsen is a 6-foot-6 275-pound high school senior who will join the Aggies for the 2025 season. During his 2-year career, he has been a starter in 27 games for the Pioneers. Construction in Provo affects small businesses
The Utah Department of Transportation is currently updating 300 South near downtown Provo and local businesses on the road are struggling to make ends meet. The construction started on Feb. 14 and is scheduled to finish by the end of the year. Man charged with attacking disabled man at Provo motel
PROVO — A Utah man was charged Monday with attempting to strangle a disabled man in a Provo motel and then faking a medical emergency while being arrested. Daniel Joaquin West, 32, who is listed in court documents as being homeless, is charged in 4th District Court with aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony; plus aggravated abuse of a vulnerable adult and reporting a false emergency, second-degree felonies.
