Sparta Education Foundation's Cornament Raises Funds for Local School Grants
SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta Education Foundation held their fourth annual Cornament on the turf field at Station Park. Forty-eight teams competed in the heat. There were four rounds of round-robin play followed by a single elimination final round. The Sparta Education Foundation provided grants to Sparta public schools with the proceeds of their fundraisers throughout the year. Chatham's Non-Profit Computer Science Education Program 'CS Base' Receives NJ Governor's Volunteerism Award
HAMILTON, NJ -- Chatham High student Ishir Rao represented the Chatham-based computer science education program CS Base when it received the New Jersey Governor's Volunteerism Award during ceremonies held recently at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton. CS Base, a non-profit educational organization, spreads free computer science education across New Jersey and beyond. Blairstown School Taxes to Jump
Taxpayers in Blairstown and Hardwick will see a significant bump in their local school taxes in the revised budget proposed by the Blairstown board of education this month. The tax levy of $8.4 million will result in a tax increase of 9.67% for Hardwick residents and 8.56% for Blairstown residents.
