Alabama state trooper among 6 indicted in cocaine distribution conspiracy
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The U.S. Department of Justice has named six people indicted in a cocaine distribution investigation, and one of them is an Alabama state trooper. A federal grand jury in Montgomery returned indictments against these defendants:. Jim Carter Jr., 57, of Montgomery. Francisco Lopez, 38, of Texas.
Juvenile injured during gunfire incident in Montgomery neighborhood
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Montgomery police say a disturbance on Rosa L. Parks Avenue Monday afternoon left a 13-year-old boy hurt, but not seriously. A police spokeswoman said officers responded to a shooting call at about 1:15 p.m. Officers found that the boy sustained minor injuries as a result of gunfire during the disturbance.

Montgomery police seeking location of man wanted for SORNA violation
The Montgomery Police Department is seeking a man for allegedly violating the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act or SORNA. According to Central Alabama CrimeStoppers, the suspect has been identified as John Sides, 54. He is described as a white male standing at 5’3” in height and weighing approximately 145 pounds.
