A body that was discovered in a Memphis impound lot has been confirmed as that of a missing 20-year-old Mississippi man.

Officials with the Memphis Police Department confirmed that the body was that of Jaderious Webb, a man who had been reported missing in Horn Lake, Mississippi.

The body was found after the car had been towed to the Memphis impound lot on July 20. The car was engulfed in flames at the intersection of Weaver and Tully Roads in Southwest Memphis. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the car was towed to the City of Memphis Impound Lot on Klinke Avenue.

Officials from the Horn Lake Police Department later confirmed that the vehicle belonged to Webb.

Officials have not indicated how long the body was in the trunk of the car before it was discovered at the impound lot.

The case remains under investigation by detectives who are trying to determine how Webb died.
