Jones departs Crystal City for Ste. Genevieve
A fixture in Crystal City athletics has moved on. Ken Jones resigned in June as Crystal activities director and director of transportation and is the new transportation director for the Ste. Genevieve R-II School District. Jones, 47, oversees about 40 employees, including bus drivers and mechanics, and manages an expanded fleet through the district’s recent acquisition of Fallert Bus Service, Inc.
$60 million sports complex proposed for Chesterfield
A new $60 million CarShield Sportsplex AAA Hockey and Futbol facility has been proposed in Chesterfield. City officials are currently reviewing the site plan. The new 325,000-square-foot CarShield Sportsplex AAA Hockey and Futbol facility will be located on a 33-acre tract at Eatherton Road and north of Wings Corporate Drive.
