Mo. DNR’s Drought Assessment Committee to meet July 19
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Drought Assessment Committee will meet later this month. According to a release, the meeting is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 19 in Jefferson City to continue coordinating a comprehensive state and federal response to drought conditions affecting portions of the state.
Marcellus Williams, MO man on death row, will get to present DNA evidence, argue innocence
A Missouri man scheduled to be executed in September will get a chance to present a court with DNA evidence he believes will exonerate him. Marcellus Williams will get a hearing on Aug. 21, at the request of St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell. The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to vacate the conviction after reviewing the case and discovering “clear and convincing evidence” that Williams is innocent.
