(The Center Square) – Weeks before the start of the school year, the superintendent of St. Louis Public Schools was placed on a temporary leave of absence. The Board of Education announced Dr. Keisha Scarlett, who became superintendent last July after serving as an assistant superintendent of academics in the Seattle school district, was on a temporary leave. ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A woman from St. Louis was sentenced to 15 years in prison after admitting to fatally stabbing a neighbor in an apartment. According to court documents, Michelle Mitchell, 48, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the July 18, 2022, stabbing death of Robin Bonds.

Schulte made his Olympic debut on Wednesday as Team USA played against France. France won 3-0. Tennis Teams, Student-Athletes Earn ITA Academic Awards
ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University's 2023-24 men's and women's tennis teams have been named All-Academic by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, while 10 Billiken student-athletes (six men, four women) earned ITA Scholar-Athlete plaudits. To be named ITA All-Academic, a program must have at least a 3.2 team grade point average for an entire academic year. The SLU men posted a 3.52 GPA in 2023-24, while the SLU women turned in a 3.49 GPA. The Billiken women captured All-Academic accolades for a 12th time in the past 14 years. Health system based in STL to sell 13 facilities
