    Houston Police: Officers handle disputes, make arrests

    ​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

    Between July 15 and July 21, the Houston Police Department answered 183 calls for service and initiated 29 traffic stops resulting in 11 citations and 33 warnings.

    • On July 15, officers arrested Megan E. Rosso, 25, of Mountain Grove, on an active Texas County warrant per charge domestic assault. Rosso was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was incarcerated due to the warrant having no bond.
    • On July 15, officers were called to Texas County Memorial Hospital for a reported dog bite.
    • On July 16, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Sommerfield Drive for a domestic disturbance. The disturbance was determined to be verbal and both parties agreed to separate for the evening.
    • On July 17, officers arrested Tyler M. Bowling, 19, of Cabool, on an active Texas County warrant per charge stealing. Bowling was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated due to the warrant having no bond.
    • On July 18, officers arrested William S. Shirreffs, 34, of Houston, on an active Texas County warrant per charge stealing-4th offense. Shirreffs was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated after being unable to post the $1,000 cash-only bond.
    • On July 18, officers arrested Jamie E. Gath, 42, of Houston, on an active Houston Municipal warrant per charge exceeding posted speed limit. Gath was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was able to post the $174 cash bond and was released.
    • On July 18, officers responded to Walmart for multiple theft investigations. Following the investigations, Michele Weaver, 54, of Houston, was issued five citations per charge stealing under $750 for thefts on five separate occasions.
    • On July 19, officers cited Whitney G. Garrett, 34, of Hartshorn, for allowing a dog to run at large.
    • On July 19, officers responded to the 400 block of North Grand Avenue for a domestic disturbance. The disturbance was only verbal and neither party wished to pursue charges.
    • On July 20, officers cited T.J. Williams, 59, of Houston, for driving while suspended.
    • On July 20, officers cited Jaykeb A. Gibson, 18, of Mountain View, for driving while suspended.
