The Houston Texans start training camp in just a few days, and before they kick things off, they want to sign another player who they think could make some sort of impact. They wanted to sign a player who could surprise people. And, they have.

The Texans decided to test the spring football waters. Or, as many of you know, the UFL, which was formerly known as the XFL and USFL. The two leagues combined to form one league, and have now been known to be a good pipeline for talent that may go overlooked, underlooked, or even guys who just need a second chance.

The Texans are signing one of the best pass rushers from the UFL last season.

According to Aaron Wilson of KCPR 2, the Texans are signing former D.C. Defenders defensive lineman Malik Fisher, who had eight sacks last season, the third most in the league.

Fisher played for the Defenders, on one of the better defenses in that league, and a large reason why was because of him.

Fisher played at Villanova and is only 25 years old. The young defensive end has also worked out with the Baltimore Ravens. So, it's clear that they are hoping something can happen here during training camp.
