Police in Howard County, Maryland, on Sunday identified the teenager who was shot dead Saturday inside the Columbia Mall.

Police said Angelo Little, 17, of Columbia, was killed in gunfire after an argument in the mall’s food court.

Authorities said the shooter ran out of the mall after the shooting. No arrests have been made, and no persons of interest have been identified.

"We don’t believe this is a random incident and we do believe it was a victim who was targeted,” Howard County Police spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn said Saturday night.

Shots first rang out around 6:10 p.m. Saturday. Officers soon found Angelo dead inside the mall.

“I heard the sound ‘boom’ first one, and then there were two more shots that I heard," witness Aliyu Atiku told CBS affiliate WUSA. "I started running. It was chaotic and I fell down so I crawled into a store. It’s the first time I’ve experienced something like that. Usually, I see it in the movies."

The shopping center was placed on lockdown until 9 p.m. as police investigated.
