ACHD to host public hearing on 2025 fiscal year budget Aug. 28

Following an open house that was held at the end of July, the Ada County Highway District’s fiscal year 2025 budget is set to be adopted following a public hearing.

The public hearing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, in the auditorium of the ACHD headquarters at 3775 Adams St. in Garden City. Those not attending in person can watch and ask questions during the hearing through Zoom. The link for online participation is available on the ACHD website .

Expanded roadways and an improved pedestrian experience were two of the primary targets for the budget, as previously reported by the Idaho Press .

The proposed total revenue for the 2025 fiscal year will be $231.3 million. The budget will include $115 million dedicated to 100 different projects in Ada County, an ACHD press release said.

ACHD’s integrated five-year plan, which includes $1.3 billion programmed for 348 projects, is scheduled to be adopted Sept. 25.
