    Wednesday

    Wanderlust Craft Beer Taproom & Wine Bar, 1799 Hurley Drive, Suite. A, in Pocatello, will host its April wine tasting from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 24. Reservations are recommended.

    Thursday

    St. Rita’s Amazing Traveling Bookstore and Textual Apothecary will be at Jim Dandy Brewing, 305 E. Lander St. in Pocatello, from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25.

    MandM Paint Parties will host a paint night starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Clydesdale Bar & Lounge, 655 N. Fifth Ave. in Pocatello. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at m-and-m-paint-parties.square.site. Must be 21 or older to attend. All supplies and instructions are provided.

    The Yellowstone Restaurant, 230 W. Bonneville St. in Pocatello, hosts live jazz featuring Freddy Gildersleeve and rotating guests every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Y Lounge.

    Station Square, 200 S. Main St. in Pocatello, hosts open mic night every Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m.

    Best picture Oscar nominee “Killers of the Flower Moon” will be shown at 6 p.m. April 25-26 and at 2 and 6 p.m. April 27 in the Bengal Theater at ISU. Admission is $3 for the public, $2 for ISU staff and children under 12, and free for ISU students with Bengal ID.

    Friday

    Vin Jay will give a show at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, at The Gem, 216 1st St. in Idaho Falls. Vin Jay is an accomplished American rapper and songwriter, celebrated for his compelling and skillful approach to hip-hop music.     Deleta Skating, 520 Yellowstone Ave. in Pocatello, will host a Halfway to Halloween party from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, April 26. There will be face painting, spooky music, a costume contest, themed food and drinks and more. Admission is $12. All ages welcome.

    The Museum of Idaho, 200 N. Eastern Ave. in Idaho Falls, will host Museum After Dark: PARTIfact Games at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26. Unearth some of quirky artifacts for a wild competition that’s a blend of your favorite party games. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres included. Must be 21 or older.     The Idaho State-Civic Symphony will present “Brazilian Voices” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall at Stephens Performing Arts Center. Join them in the Rotunda for the pre-concert chat beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the post-concert reception following the performance. There will be a no-host bar serving drinks and hors d’oeuvres before the concert, during intermission and at the post-concert reception.

    Friday & Saturday

    The Westside Players will perform “Silent Sky” on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27. Set at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s, this true story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with dinner service from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and curtain at 7:30 p.m. Dinner and show tickets are $45 and show-only tickets are $17.     Cirque Ma’Ceo is coming to the Bannock County Event Center, 10588 Fairground Drive in Pocatello, with shows at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26, at 4 and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 27, and at 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28. Witness stunning horses and extraordinary human artists from across the globe come together in an exclusive universe that will transport you back in time.     Saturday

    The Kingdom of Artemisia will host Highland Games from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Bannock County Event Center in Pocatello. The games will feature caber toss, stone throw, tug-o-war and a relay race. Additionally there will be a Greatsword tournament for armored fighters. For the youth of the kingdom there will be many activities including their own versions of the games.

    The Chubbuck Police Department, 5160 Yellowstone Ave. in Chubbuck, will be hosting a local Drug Take Back Day collection site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27.

    The Spring Rexburg Market will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Madison Junior High School, 134 Madison Ave. in Rexburg. The market features products from 90-plus local vendors, including food trucks, candles, artisan baked goods, art, unique clothing and accessories, fresh homegrown flowers and more.     This year’s Portneuf Valley Environmental Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Lookout Point in Pocatello. Over 70 local businesses, agencies and organizations will host hands-on activities for children of all ages, provide giveaways and teach everyone how to protect the Portneuf Valley for current and future generations.     Off the Rails Brewing, 228 S. Main St. in Pocatello, will host its annual Gelande Quaffing tournament aka the most athletic drinking game ever, from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27.     SpringBrew will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Broadway Plaza, 350 Memorial Drive in Idaho Falls.     Roman Ark, Vermillionaire and Brayden Spencer will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at The Venue 101, 28 Carlson Ave. in Rexburg. Roman Ark is an American Singer Songwriter originally from the Pacific Northwest but currently based out of Salt Lake City. With influences like The Lumineers, Ani DiFranco, Bruce Springsteen, Noah Kahan and Zach Bryan, he has found a home writing about authentic experiences and lived in stories.     Zoo Idaho presents Untamed Art at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 28, at the zoo education building, 3101 Avenue of the Chiefs in Pocatello, with Amber Cook teaching about recycled art. Cost is $35 per person and includes art supplies, brunch and mimosas. Tickets can be purchased at events.humanitix.com/untamed-art.

    It’s a free movie day at ISU’s Bengal Theater with the environmental documentary “Common Ground” showing at 4 and 7 p.m. April 28. All are welcome to attend this story about sustainable farming that explores how many of the problems in the world connect to the state of the world’s soil.

    Monday

    The Pocatello Food Truck Round-Up is open from 4 to 8 p.m. every Monday at Lookout Point through September.

    Marshall Public Library, 113 S. Garfield Ave. in Pocatello, will host a family history workshop from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 29. Where did you come from? What lives led to the life you live? Curious? Come find your roots (or at least gain some tools to dig for them). If you have a laptop, bring it with you. This workshop happens in the Yost-Ashcroft Exploration Center at the south end of the library’s first floor.
