POCATELLO — Police and fire units responded to a pair of three-vehicle wrecks in Pocatello on Friday.

Multiple vehicles were totaled in the crashes but fortunately only one person suffered any injuries.

The first crash, involving two SUVs and a car, occurred around 8 a.m. at Jefferson Avenue and East Maple Street. The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to flip onto its side.

No one was injured in the crash but the intersection was temporarily shut down because of the wrecked vehicles.

The second three-vehicle crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. on East Center Street near Sixth Avenue. The crash involved two cars and a compact SUV and sent one of the drivers to the hospital via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance.

The adult female driver suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash, authorities said. Her name hasn’t been released.

The wreck temporarily shut down the East Center/Sixth Avenue intersection.

Further details on the wrecks aren’t yet available.

Both crashes are under investigation by Pocatello police.
