Caitlin Clark Fans Roasting Indiana Fever Teammate for Ruining Incredible Play

The Indiana Fever are facing the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday afternoon in a tough battle against one of the best teams in the WNBA. Minnesota (16-7) entered this game with the best record in the Western Conference, while Indiana (10-14) owns the third-best record in the Eastern Conference.

Star rookie Caitlin Clark entered this game in incredible form, having tallied a points/assists double-double in five-straight games. While Clark is amid arguably her best WNBA stretch of games, she and her teammates struggled from the floor in the first half on Sunday.

Clark's shooting struggles to begin Sunday's game against the Lynx did not impact her playmaking ability, but the stats did not reflect this, as her teammates struggled to convert off her passes.

Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell especially struggled in the first half, and ruined a potential highlight pass from Clark that was dropped out of bounds. Unsurprisingly, Clark's fans were not happy:

As fans have pointed out, Mitchell dropping Clark's pass goes as a turnover against Clark, but that does not tell the whole story. Additionally, this would have been another incredible assist for Clark if Mitchell would have converted.

While Mitchell has had some great moments this season, and is averaging an impressive 16.9 PPG entering play on Sunday, she does have quite a few dropped passes that have resulted in Clark turnovers. Many point to Clark's turnovers as an indictment on her game, and she can certainly improve in that area, but the box score does not tell the whole story.

Clark and Indiana will look to come away with an impressive win over Minnesota on Sunday.
