Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever returned to practice after a week-long hiatus during the WNBA break for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Following the Fever's practice on Wednesday, Clark was seen speaking with head coach Christie Sides.

Sides and Clark were sitting down on the sideline, sharing a conversation after practice.

While it's unknown what the two discussed, WNBA fans attempted to transcribe the conversation, taking clear shots at Sides' coaching ability.

"Coach sides telling Caitlin 'listen don't ever listen to me, I don't know what I'm doing,'" said one fan.

"Please get Fever a real coach" said another fan.

"Sides 'listen Caitlin, what ever I call during the game, don't listen to me. You have a better judgement than mine,'" commented another.

Sides has been under fire all season, with many fans questioning how she utilizes Clark.

The rookie guard has had a successful first season in the league, but she has struggled with efficiency and has a high turnover rate for a floor general.

She is currently averaging 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game, leading the Fever in both categories. Despite those impressive numbers, Clark is shooting 32.7% from three-point range and 40.5% from the field. Additionally, she is averaging 5.6 turnovers per game, which is the highest in the entire league.

Clark hasn't been able to play a free-flowing offense like she did with the Iowa Hawkeyes at the collegiate level.

Most of Sides' offensive sets come with a high ball screen that the opposing team is ready to hedge and a scramble on the baseline that has rarely flourished.

The first-year athlete has struggled on her own, but as WNBA fans have explained, it seems Sides and Clark haven't been able to mesh well enough to agree on a specific scheme.
