Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark was recently asked about the 2024 Paris Olympics. She shared insight on the potential boost the break in the season could give the Fever.

"I think the Olympic break will be good for all of us. First of all to get some rest, but also we have like three weeks to work on us. It's almost like training camp again, and practice. We have a young team, so that time to really get in the gym and improve will be super valuable for us," said Clark via Desert Wave Media on X.

Clark and the Fever stand as the No. 9 team in the WNBA rankings with a 7-12 record. They're riding a two-game losing streak, preparing to play a veteran squad with Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner in the Phoenix Mercury Sunday.

Clark and the Fever started the season with a 2-9 record. She's struggled in her rookie year, shooting 40.1% from the field, but Indiana has improved as the season has progressed.

They began the season playing 11 games in 20 days, which seemed like the most daunting schedule in the league.

"Practice, that's the best thing for an inexperienced group. Continue to get better, continue to learn game to game, and I think we're doing a good job of that," continued Clark.

Clark was a potential candidate to play on Team USA's roster in the Paris Olympics, but she didn't make the 12-player lineup. As Cklark explained, the break could be a blessing in disguise, given the team's inexperience.
