    29-year-old man shot, killed in southeast Indy suspected road rage shooting

    INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting on Indy's southeast side Tuesday night.

    According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of E. Thompson Road and S. Emerson Avenue.

    When officers arrived, they located a person with gunshot injuries lying in the middle of the road. A gun was lying near the man shot.

    That man, 29-year-old Gavin Dasaur, died at the scene.

    Dasaur and his wife, Viviana ZaMora, had just gotten married on June 29, a little over two weeks before his death.

    IMPD said one person was detained and questioned at the scene, but that person was later released.

    Police have not released additional details about what led up to the shooting.

    Anyone with information on this incident is asked to submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
