Another Indianapolis Colts player is joining the Pro Football Hall of Fame with Dwight Freeney's induction just a few weeks away.

Colts legend Peyton Manning shared his thoughts on his longtime teammate joining him in Canton.

Manning appeared on The Pat McAfee Show to discuss multiple topics, including Freeney's upcoming induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2024. Here is what he had to say.

"I was thankful every day of my career that Dwight Freeney was on my team. (Bill) Belichick hated Freeney, (Tom) Brady hated Freeney, which was in the ultimate complimentary way of hating someone. Happy to see Dwight get honored, and it's going to be a special weekend there in Canton in a few weeks."

Freeney and Manning became teammates in 2002 after the Colts drafted Freeney in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft. Manning got to watch Freeney's dominance from the comfort of the sideline instead of having to play against him for the next ten years before the then 33-year-old pass rusher signed with the then San Diego Chargers and the then 36-year-old QB signed with the Denver Broncos.

With the Colts, Freeney made seven Pro Bowls as well as being named a three time First Team All-Pro. He has the second most sacks of any Colts player in franchise history, with 107.5, only trailing his partner in crime, Robert Mathis. Freeney will join Manning, Marvin Harrison, and Tony Dungy as members of the Colts' 2006 Super Bowl team to join the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Hopefully, as Freeney has said publically , WR Reggie Wayne is the next Colts legend to join this group in the Hall of Fame. Especially with his induction feeling well overdue at this point .
