Tyler Reddick may be a DuQuoin, Ill. native, but he's found a second home of sorts in Indianapolis, the site of his second-career Cup Series victory.

Since making his bow in NASCAR's top-flight division in 2019, Reddick has posted the following finishes at the iconic racetrack: 8th, 21st, 1st, and 4th.

Reddick will seek another impressive result as the Brickyard, this time configured in an oval as opposed to the typical road course setup Cup Series drivers have experienced at the site over the past three years.

Given his prowess for strong performances at the locale, Reddick was already considered a threat to finish at the top of the pack. His supporters will be even more confident after he turned the course into his playground during Saturday's qualifying.

With that, here's what you need to know about the pole-sitter and starting lineup for Sunday's race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Brickyard 400.

Who won the Brickyard 400 pole for 2024?

Tyler Reddick captured the pole for Sunday's race, slipping beyond Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott to lead at the front of the pack during the Brickyard 400.

Reddick raced around the 2.5-mile oval with a lap time of 49.469 seconds, a hair faster than Elliott, who clocked in at 49.504 seconds.

It wasn't the smoothest of journeys for Reddick, who toiled as he made his way around Turn 1.

In the end, though, Reddick righted the course. The result? His second pole of the year and eighth of his Cup Series career.

“It’s just really cool. I’ve been really fortunate to come here and have a lot of speed on the road course," Reddick said. "It’s great to be back on the oval here and have that speed again. I’m excited for (Sunday). We’re going to have an awesome opportunity with pit selection, and obviously, our Toyota Camry is really fast.”

Joining Reddick, Hamlin, and Elliott in the top-five are Hendrick Motorsports standouts William Byron and Kyle Larson.
