Patrick Beverley will not face criminal charges for an incident during Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs between the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks.

Mike Vorkunov and Shams Charania of The Athletic were informed Thursday by a Marion County Prosecutor's Office spokesman. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced an investigation on May 8 into Beverley's interaction with a fan at Gainbridge Fieldhouse during a May 2 game in which Indiana eliminated Milwaukee in the playoffs.

According to Vorkunov, the prosecutor's office reviewed IMPD's investigation and has closed its own investigation into the matter.

Near the end of the game, Beverley threw a ball hard toward fans near the Bucks bench. The ball hit a fan in the head, caroming to another fan, who gently tossed it back to Beverley. The guard then passed the ball hard back to the second fan, who caught it.

Beverley was suspended for four games on May 9 due to his actions at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

"Not Fair at all," Beverley posted on X about the incident. "Exchanged between a fan and our ball club all night. We warned and asked for help all night. Not fair.

"But I have to be better. And I will."

Beverley later refused to answer an ESPN reporter's questions in the locker room after she acknowledged that she does not subscribe to his podcast.

Beverley will play in Israel next season for Hapoel Tel Aviv.
