    Colts release unofficial depth chart for Week 1 of preseason

    The Indianapolis Colts released their depth chart Tuesday ahead of their preseason opener against the Denver Broncos .

    Releasing the unofficial depth chart is a formality before every game. The word "unofficial" carries a lot of weight here.

    Just because a player is listed at a certain spot on the depth chart doesn't mean that's their actual spot. It's typically pretty close, but teams put their depth charts together in certain ways for various reasons.

    The Colts and Broncos are scheduled to square off Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET.
