Colts QB Joe Flacco Makes His Opinion On Anthony Richardson Crystal Clear

At 39 years old and entering his 17th NFL season, Indianapolis Colts veteran Joe Flacco is just happy to still be playing football. After all, not many make it this long.
The one-time Super Bowl winner signed a one-year $4.5 million deal with the Colts last March and has embraced his role as sensei to second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson.
In the few months they've been together, Flacco has seen how Richardson operates, and the former Super Bowl MVP is thoroughly impressed.
“Listen, he’s not going to give you much in terms of how much he is going to maybe stray from football in the meetings and just shoot the breeze here and there,’’ Flacco said, as quoted by a report from Mike Chappell of Fox 59 . “He’s a good kid and he’s an awesome athlete.
"It’s been a lot of fun. It’s a great room. Everybody in there has been great. So, it’s been a lot of fun with those guys.”
The 22-year-old Richardson is eager to make a strong impact after his rookie year prematurely ended due to a shoulder injury. With Flacco by his side, that won't be much of a problem. Who better to teach him about making a comeback than the reigning NFL Comeback Player of the Year?
Flacco knows Father Time is here, knocking on his door with a huge grin. But he also knows he can still contribute to the Colts in whatever way possible.
"I feel like I’m getting reminded every day of how fortunate I am to be out here playing football, having fun and meeting new people," Flacco added.
