If you're a Pumpkin-Spice-drinking fan of sweater weather, your moment has arrived. Central Indiana is getting its first taste of fall weather — two weeks ahead of when autumn officially starts . That said, it won't stick around.

Meteorologists say Indiana will see some of its coolest temperatures of the season this weekend. Highs on Saturday could struggle to get out of the 60s, according to NWS on social media .

"We've got a cold front passing over Indianapolis right now," said meteorologist Aaron Updike with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. "There's much cooler weather in store behind it."

How cold will it get this weekend around Indiana?

Rain showers will slide over parts of Indiana on Friday, NWS said . By Saturday night, temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Forecasters said the Muncie-area has the greatest chance of seeing temperatures lower than 40 degrees. The National Weather Service is advising people bring in highly sensitive vegetation from the cold.

"It's just been so dry in some rural areas. It doesn't take much for quick drops in temperatures overnight if we've got clear skies," Updike said.

Will it get warm again in Indiana?

Yes. Meteorologists say warmer weather will make a comeback to Central Indiana with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s and lower 90s by Wednesday.
