Villa Park Man Denied Pre-Trial Release in Girlfriend’s Murder Case
Villa Park, IL – A DuPage County judge has denied pre-trial release for a Villa Park man charged with the murder of his girlfriend. According to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, 26-year-old Anthony Jimenez faces two counts of First Degree Murder for allegedly stabbing Jessica Reyes, 24, during a domestic altercation on Wednesday. Villa Park police responded to a call from Jimenez, who allegedly admitted to the stabbing. Officers found Reyes with multiple stab wounds; she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
