Iowa Coach Compares Caitlin Clark To Two Basketball Icons

In her debut WNBA season with the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark has been setting new records and making history with her performances in every game. Her remarkable achievements have been setting unprecedented standards in the league.

Despite the Fever's disappointing 7-12 record, Clark continues to capture the spotlight. Her national recognition began during her college career with the Iowa Hawkeyes and has only grown since then.

When Clark departed from Iowa, head coach Lisa Bluder decided to depart as well. As a result, assistant coach Jan Jensen was promoted to the head coach position after working under Bluder for more than twenty years.

On Thursday, Jensen joined Brian Scalabrine and Frank Isola on SiriusXM to discuss her time coaching Clark. She compared Clark to two basketball icons: Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan and late Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant.

"To win, it has to be her way. It has to be this pass then and this shot now. Does that now sound like Kobe or Michael?" Jensen said .

Kobe and Jordan are often regarded as two of the greatest basketball players in NBA history, known for their unparalleled impact on the game. Together, they combine for 11 NBA titles, with Jordan winning six for the Bulls and Bryant securing five for the Lakers.

Clark is poised to make her mark in the WNBA, following in the footsteps of these legendary players.
