Tiger Woods' former mistress had two words to describe how she felt after golf star's crash

Rachel Uchitel, known for her involvement with Tiger Woods during his 2009 marital scandal, was stunned by his devastating car accident .

Rachel became one of the public figures linked to Woods during the scandalous breakdown of his marriage to Elin Nordegren in 2009 .

The golf superstar, at age 45, experienced a severe car accident which required fire service personnel to release him from the wreckage after his car overturned and sustained "major damage".

Woods received surgical treatment for leg injuries, before making a full recovery and returning to golf. In conversation with the New York Post, Rachel relayed her distress: "Obviously hearing the news has shaken me up as it's probably shaken everybody up to see that."

She expressed concern about his surgery, especially when remarks like those from [agent Mark Steinberg] suggest the seriousness of the situation: "Hearing [agent Mark Steinberg] say that he's in surgery for his legs is something that really worries me and when you hear a comment like that you know it's true."

Uchitel shared her fears regarding Woods's ability to play again, saying: "He's an athlete and his legs are essential to his sport and to him being who he is and he's already had trouble with his body up until this point. He didn't need any more injuries."

Speaking in a HBO documentary, Rachel Uchitel broke her silence on their relationship which was first revealed when Woods insisted she travel to be with him at the 2009 Australian Masters.

The situation reached boiling point when Woods and his then-wife Elin Nordegren had a furious row which resulted in her chasing him from their home with a golf club and the golfer crashing his car into a tree.

Speaking about that period in her life Rachel said: "I regret that he was married and I regret the mistakes that I made but people came at me like they wanted to blame me for the fact a married man cheated on his wife, like I was the only one responsible for his actions."
