Columbia Police search for ‘armed & dangerous’ suspect accused of shooting into car with his family inside
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The Columbia Police Department is hoping you can help them locate a man they say is considered armed and dangerous and on the loose. According to authorities 52 year old Lurekus Leonard Davis is wanted in connection to a shooting that took place earlier today in the 6200 block of Garners Ferry Road. Police say Davis is accused of shooting into a car with his family members inside as well as children as it traveled down a main lower Richland thoroughfare.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — An inmate has died after having a medical emergency and falling ill while being detained at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. According to a statement from a Richland County government spokesperson, a 71-year-old detainee who was booked into the jail for possession with intent to distribute on July 22 was taken to a Prisma Health hospital for treatment following a medical emergency on Thursday. By Saturday, the hospital informed jail staff that the inmate was "acutely ill" and had gone into cardiac arrest.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Two suspects arrested by Richland County Sheriff's Department for arson in Hopkins, South Carolina. COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Manning Police Department is investigating a shooting in the Bellwood Section of Manning on Wednesday. According to Manning police, officers found a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived at the scene. Emergency medical personnel were immediately called.
