Sunday, August 4, 2024, I had the pleasure of touring a beautiful and serene urban oasis called Rittenhouse Hill Apartments and I must say it made my day. I want to preface this Good Neighbor Alert by stating that I have not been paid by this company. I’m writing about this experience for two reasons: 1- because the city needs some good news and 2- this is for those of us who think we can’t or struggle with the idea of luxury living. This place shifted my perspective and gave me hope.

So back to the tour: The moment I walked in I was warmly greeted by a staff member who welcomed me and asked if they could help and if I wanted some water. I explained that I was there for a tour, but I was running late. She politely showed me to the sitting area. As I sipped my perfectly chilled water, I observed countless happy people walking to and from the 2 gym rooms and friendly staff saying hello as they assisted residents.

A few moments later I was greeted by a very nice young lady by the name of Danielle. Danielle took me on a tour of this gorgeous well-appointed property, and I was in love with Rittenhouse Hill Apartments. From the two fitness rooms to the beautiful infinity pool, BBQ area, and walking paths - I was already sold. However, what impressed me the most was the attentive staff and the fact that this apartment building which was only $100 more than what I’m paying now offered seven-day staff and 24-hour man surveillance and security.

I repeat this place only costs $100 more than my apartment that offers similar basement amenities with limited staff and no security - but I digress. I apologize for my salty tone because had I toured this place first, I probably would have been blissfully living there a year ago but back to the good neighbor alert

I was shown two apartments but what also impressed me about this tour was that Danielle was very thorough, and professional presentation. She made sure to outline all of the costs (which a lot of property owners or rental agents do not do). Other rental agents often breeze over the numbers and focus on flattery and false promises. We discussed the unit prices, square footage, discounts, utility, and parking fees. I appreciate her giving me the true cost of moving in so I could make an informed decision.

I wish I had known about Rittenhouse Hill Apartments before moving into my current building but I'm happy to know that there is a place in Philadelphia where you actually get what you pay for. Living in a luxurious, family and pet-friendly building with 7-day, professional staff is worth the higher price. I'm happy for the residents there who can safely come and go and live in actual urban tranquility and bliss even if I can't.

So shout out to Rittenhouse Hill apartments, Danielle, and the Post brothers for providing a beautiful and safe space for some lucky Philly residents.

As I stated I am not paid, nor have I ever been paid by a company for my Good Neighbor Alerts. I write them to encourage good people and highlight the good things in our city. Right now, Rittenhouse Hill isn’t in my budget, but I would be remiss if I did not share that they offer discounts for Healthcare, City, and Education workers.

Thank you again, Danielle, for a great tour and restoring my hope for a bigger, better life in Philly.
