When it comes to baked goods on the Grand Strand, everyone knows to go to Benjamin’s Bakery and Cafe in Surfside Beach, South Carolina for the best. A supplier to dozens of local restaurants and around since 1994, whether one wants breakfast or lunch, the cozy atmosphere and sizable menu of Benjamin’s is sure to make every meal memorable.

While any baked good is superb from Benjamin’s, a personal favorite place to start is the bagels. Nothing beats their fresh bagels and some of their flavor-packed schmear. The best way to try a bagel is via their daily special: the Benjamin’s Best, which comes with the diner's choice of bagel, cream cheese, and a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee.

When it comes to lunch, sandwiches are the way to go, with classics like the BLT and French dip done exquisitely. Breakfast sandwiches are also served all day for late risers too. A personal favorite sandwich is the Poplar Drive, named after the local street of the same name, and featuring turkey, provolone, spinach, tomato, bacon, onions, and basil pesto mayo on a grilled baguette for a zesty finish.
