This year’s camp is scheduled for Monday, June 3 and Tuesday, June 4. File photo Multiple camp opportunities will be available in the next two weeks for athletes in Jacksboro. Baseball camp Youth going into grades one through nine interested in learning more about baseball are urged to come out for Jacksboro Baseball Camp. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, June 3 and Tuesday, June 4 at Twin Lakes Baseball Fields. Camp will be broken into age-appropriate groups and focus on the fundamentals of hitting, pitching and defense. Games will also be a part of the daily activities. The cost per camper is $40, which includes a T-shirt. Registration forms and checks, made out to Blake Belcher, can be turned in advance or the morning of the first day of camp. Basketball camp Athletes going into first through ninth grades are invited to attend Jacksboro Tigers Basketball Camp, set for June 5-6, at Jacksboro Middle School. Camp for boys in first through fifth grade will run from 8:30-11 a.m., with camp for incoming sixth through ninth graders from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Fundamentals in dribbling, shooting, passing and defense will be taught. Camp cost is $40 which includes a T-shirt and make checks payable to Tiger Basketball Camp Registration forms can be turned in to coach Heath Tullous at the elementary school, the middle school office or can be brought to the first day of camp. For incoming kindergarten through third grade, basketball will be held in the morning from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m., with volleyball from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. For incoming fourth through sixth graders, the times will be reversed, with volleyball in the morning and basketball following.
