The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a pretty decent training camp so far, and now that the pads have been on for a few days, it's only going to start ramping up even more. And, that means that we are about to start seeing more of what the rookies could possibly do in 2024.

So far, the rookie class has been fine. They aren't blowing anyone out of the water, but really just doing what you expect. It's starting to look like this could be a rookie class that can actually help the Jaguars return to the playoffs in 2024, whereas last season, they helped, but not as much as maybe people thought they should.

This rookie class has a lot of potential, and we have seen that just in some of the individual practice sessions, 1-on-1s, team sessions, 9-on-7s, and even 11-on-11s. Even the day three guys are doing well, as we have recently seen in a practice clip.

2024 fifth-round pick, cornerback De'Antre Prince from Mississippi State has somehow managed to make the play of the summer in one-on-ones. While he was playing defense, of course, the player he was guarding made a nice move to get open and create what looked like a good amount of separation. That's when Prince broke on the play super fast, and covered that space so much so that he made a one-handed snag for an interception to win the rep.

Now, we always want to preface that this is just practice, there is no real pressure to perform during this -- well there is just not like there is during a game. But, that doesn't mean we can't be hyped about a play that was still a nice play nonetheless.

Prince is currently slotted to be behind Ronald Darby as a backup cornerback, with Darby, and Tyson Campbell, one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in football , being the starting cornerbacks, and Darnell Savage . That means that there is a very good chance that Prince could play some pretty significant snaps as a rookie.

It looks like he is trending towards being ready.
