Fourth of July Celebrations Wind Down
Besides the rescheduled Hollister Firework Celebration going off tonight at 9:00, the Chateau on the Lake will have their annual Fireworks Show on Saturday evening. Also, the City of Jasper will have their annual Sparks in the Sky celebration with events getting underway at 2:00 followed by live music at 5:00 then the fireworks after dusk. Lisa Dowers Duet, Director of Jasper Advertising and Promotions, stopped by KHOZ's "Around the Table" along with event special guests Heather Smith from "Naked and Afraid" and Ashley Jones from "Swamp People." Driver arrested after leaving the scene of a fatal crash in Newton County, Mo.; highway patrol identifies pedestrian killed
NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the driver of a truck who left the scene of a fatal crash Friday night has been arrested Saturday morning. According to MSHP Troop D, the driver was arrested at a house in Carterville, Missouri in Jasper County. Troopers are on the scene collecting evidence.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - After several weeks, voting wrapped up in the Missouri Helmet Challenge, with this year’s winner being crowned. Springfield’s Kickapoo High School took home the championship, defeating Columbia’s Rock Bridge in the final round.
