Downtown Davenport businesses host supply drive for Iowa communities affected by flood
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Businesses on Motor Row have come together to help out communities in Northwestern Iowa that have been devastated by floods. The businesses on Motor Row say there are open despite Davenport’s own flooding and the closure of River Drive. They ask if you come to shop over the holiday weekend that you consider bringing what you are able to give to be delivered to the affected towns.

Charles City housing project getting over $10 million in federal tax creidts
DES MOINES, Iowa – A housing development in Charles City is sharing in more than $10 million in federal housing tax credits going to 10 projects in Iowa. The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors says more than $10.6 million will go do build and rehab 404 affordable rental homes. The money is going to projects in Burlington, Charles City, Davenport, Des Moines, Jefferson, Knoxville, Mount Pleasant, Oskaloosa and Spirit Lake.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe softball head coach Jake Koolbeck announced changes to his coaching staff on Wednesday, adding a new assistant coach as former coaches Ashlee Rush, Madi Miller and Natalie Blank are set to step away from the program. 2024 Kohawk Softball graduate Skyler Stookey will step in as the program's top assistant after making a major impact on the field. The Winnebago County Conservation Board and the Friends of Winnebago County Conservation have scheduled a Grand Opening for the new Hanson Nature Center.
