BRISTOL, Tenn. – Tennessee Hills Distillery, a name synonymous with the craft of authentic Appalachian spirits, is set to open its third location in Bristol, Tennessee, within the next month. This new facility marks a significant expansion for the company, which has quickly become a cornerstone of Northeast Tennessee’s burgeoning distillery scene.

The upcoming Bristol location, strategically situated across from The Pinnacle shopping center, will not only be the company's largest yet but is also poised to become the state's largest craft beer producer, with a capacity to produce 3,000 cans daily. This expansion is part of a broader $21.3 million investment that will establish Bristol as the new headquarters for Tennessee Hills Distillery. The facility will span 35,000 square feet, making it one of the largest automated distilleries in Tennessee.

In anticipation of the opening, Tennessee Hills Distillery held a job fair last Saturday to fill 30 open positions. The event attracted numerous applicants eager to join the distillery's team. Stephen Callahan, the founder and owner of Tennessee Hills Distillery, expressed his appreciation for the community's support and enthusiasm. “There’s a lot of people that want to work for us,” Callahan noted, emphasizing that the turnout was a testament to the company's strong brand, culture, and reputation as a great workplace.

Founded in 2014 in the historic town of Jonesborough, Tennessee Hills Distillery has quickly grown from its roots in a restored 1800s salt house to a super-regional brand. The distillery is part of Rugged American Spirits and has expanded its operations with a second location in Johnson City. The company's commitment to preserving Tennessee’s distilling heritage while incorporating modern techniques has earned it a loyal following. The new Bristol headquarters will also house a museum dedicated to the history of Tennessee whiskey, NASCAR, music, and the distilling process, further cementing the company’s role in promoting “experiential” tourism in the region.

Tennessee Hills Distillery still accepts applications via email at info@tnhillsdistillery.com for those who missed the job fair info@tnhillsdistillery.com.

This expansion is a significant milestone for Tennessee Hills Distillery and a boost for the local economy. Over the next five years, the Bristol location is expected to create 45 new jobs, doubling the company's workforce in the region. The project reflects a broader investment trend in Tennessee's whiskey industry, which continues to draw national and international attention.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and other local leaders have lauded the expansion, noting its potential to enhance the cultural and economic landscape of Bristol and Sullivan County.

As Tennessee Hills Distillery prepares to open its doors in Bristol, it continues to build on its mission of providing a "True Taste of Tennessee," blending tradition with innovation in every bottle.
