Summer baseball: Jefferson blanked by Johnson Creek 3-0

JEFFERSON — Zach Holland and Aiden Smith combined on a three-hitter as Johnson Creek beat Jefferson’s summer baseball team 3-0 at Fischer Field on Tuesday.

Johnson Creek scored single runs in the third, sixth and seventh innings.

Holland struck out seven over six innings of one-hit ball to earn the decision while Smith pitched a scoreless seventh.

Ben Kalmon started for the Eagles, allowing an unearned run on one hit with nine strikeouts and four walks in five innings in the loss.
