Police see rise in fireworks calls in city limits
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Fireworks have been flying both off the shelves and into the skies in Jonesboro, despite a city ordinance that forbids them. “From the first of June through today, so you know, we’ve already had 21 calls of, that the caller knew it was fireworks going off,” said Police Chief Rick Elliott.

JONESBORO, Ark. – A traffic stop for hazardous driving resulted in two arrests Friday in Jonesboro. Around 7:34 PM on June 28 near the intersection of Allen Avenue and Main Street, JPD Officer Levi Chism initiated a traffic stop on a black 2003 Saturn L200 for crossing the center line.
Suspect Faces Felonies for Allegedly Striking Officer, Nurses
