T-bone crash near Mercy Park sends four to hospital including toddler

JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) — Just after 9 a.m. Wednesday morning reports of a serious crash at 26th and Maiden Lane alerted Joplin E-911.

Joplin Fire, Joplin Police and METS ambulance responded to the  northwestern edge of Mercy Park.

On scene we learn a pickup truck and passenger car collided in a T-bone crash.

Authorities tell us four people were transported to area hospitals. One toddler in a car seat was injured as the vehicles collided.

Injuries to those involved are not life threatening.

Cottrill’s Towing was one towing company we observed on the scene as Joplin Police marked the crash for investigation.

Traffic was disrupted about 60 minutes in the area.
