The exhibit features Joplin Police Officers Jake Reed and Ben Cooper who were killed in the line of duty in March 2022. Also that same month Carthage High School graduate and Bonne Terre, Mo. Officer Lane Burns was killed.

When there is a loss, usually there is a huge outpouring of support. And over time that support dwindles away. But all the while the families lives are forever changed that day.

She goes on to tell us they created the memorial so that people all over the country can hear fallen officers stories, see their faces and support their families.

The entire annual trip is 23,000 miles, today is day 59 of 73 with 17,000 miles traveled so far.
