    Harrison High School student suspected of strangling student during locker-room fight

    WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ― A Harrison High School student was taken to the hospital Friday after a locker-room fight, and a second student went to juvenile intake, according to Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office.

    A 16-year-old student put a 17-year-old student in a choke hold, causing the boy being strangled to pass out, according to the sheriff's office.

    About 12:45 p.m. Friday, the school resource officer got a call about a student having a seizure inside a locker room, and when the deputy arrived, he learned that the boy's injuries were from a fight.

    An ambulance was called for the boy who passed out, according to the sheriff's office. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to the sheriff's office.

    Meanwhile, the other boy went to the juvenile detention center on suspicion of strangulation and battery, according to the sheriff's office.
