    Labor Day weekend is full of activities. Here are five events you might want to check out in the Peoria area this weekend.

    Blues & Heritage Music Festival

    The 34th annual Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival will be held Aug. 30-31 at Peoria Riverfront Festival Park. This end-of-summer event will include a world-class lineup of artists from blues, roots, funk, soul and everything in between.     Pioneer Day at Wildlife Prairie Park

    Pioneer Day will take place during regular park hours on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Wildlife Prairie Park, 3826 N. Taylor Road, Hanna City. Several vendors will be set up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and special performances, animal programs and other activities will take place throughout the day.     Mt. Moon Fest in the Heights

    Mt. Moon Fest 3 will be held Aug. 31-Sept. 1 in the parking lot/beer garden of The 33 Room, 4541 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights. The two-day music festival featuring over 20 local bands will also include vintage clothing vendors, artists and vegan food. Tickets are $20 for one day or $30 for both days and can be purchased at https://mtmoon.ticketleap.com/mt-moon-fest .

    Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival

    Mackinaw Valley Vineyard's annual Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at the vineyard, 33633 Illinois Route 9, Mackinaw. There will be two large stomping bins and participants can stomp alone or with a partner. Wine flights will be available all day and live music will be presented by Shipwreck Kelly. Attendees can also come dressed as Lucille Ball and participate in a Lucy look-alike contest. Admission is $5 per person and free for children ages 12 and under.

    Party in the Park at Shore Acres

    A Party in the Park celebrating the grand opening of the "Play for All" inclusive playground will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Shore Acres Park, 100 Park Blvd., Chillicothe. Activities include "Rumble on the River" featuring Homegrown Wrestling, a free concert from Mixtape Mayhem, a car cruise-in, M&K Parties inflatables, a KCBBQ rib burn competition, food trucks and more.
