    Police: 20 pounds of crystal meth found at Kalamazoo home

    KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Officers found 20 pounds of crystal meth, cocaine and cash during a search of a Kalamazoo home Wednesday, according to police.

    A 50-year-old suspect from Kalamazoo was arrested. The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team, a multi-jurisdictional drug task force, was executing a search warrant at the suspect’s home on South Rose Street near Lovell Street after a joint investigation with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

    Officers found “over 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamines, cocaine, packaging materials, a large amount of U.S. currency and other distribution materials,” according to a release from KVET.

    The resident, whom KVET did not name, was arrested and booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail.
