Enjoyable afternoon temps on tap

Good morning, folks!

Starting the morning with temps in the 50s and 60s across the High Plains. It is a refreshing start to the day with muggy conditions. A stalled front continues to cut across the state of Texas. Labor Day was a soggy day across the state as reports of 7 inches of rain fell across parts of Texas. Unfortunately for us, we did not see this beneficial moisture. Rain fell from Plainview to the south. The highest rain observation across the viewing area was Olton with 0.37″. Cloud cover this morning will break apart, leaving us with sunny skies for this afternoon. Temps are forecasted to rise into the mid to low 80s. Enjoyable temps will persist all the way until Saturday before 90s return back into our seven-day. We are tracking moisture on Thursday afternoon as scattered showers and thunderstorms will return. Rain looks to increase from the north to the south. Stay tuned for the latest.
