KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City’s very own Science City opened its latest interactive exhibit, Eye Spy, on Tuesday, which features 2,000 square feet of immersive activities for kids and families to enjoy.

The new exhibit, which replaced the Mister E Hotel, has custom hand-painted and spray-painted murals with hidden illusions that tie into Science City and its legacy in Kansas City, as well as 15 illusive photo ops and hands-on activities.

That isn’t all though. This local attraction will also feature a “never-before-seen, custom curated video technology” called the “Travelvator” that takes you around the outside of the station virtually.

All the rooms you can explore are based on five categories: color, nature, art, technology and perspective.

    Here’s everything you can expect:

    1. Color
      • Walk into the new space filled with 256 colors and patterns to clear your mind and shock your senses.
    2. Nature
      • Guests can expect to see a firefly forest that leads into an elephant stampede in this room dedicated to the illusions of nature and the environments around us.
    3. Art
      • This “mind-twisting” art-filled space will cause your brain to stir through variations in shape and color that lead you to a giant kaleidoscope.
    4. Technology
      • Step inside the “Travelvator” and go on a virtual journey through Union Station and downtown Kansas City.
    5. Perspective
      • With the help of vision, our brain can understand and contextualize our surroundings. In this room, check out Eye Spy and see how illusions can shift perspectives of the world around you.
