The Kansas City Chiefs officially kick off their 2024 training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri at Missouri Western State University on Sunday, July 21.
The rookies and quarterbacks completed their three-day headstart at training camp, while the veterans officially arrived in the building on Friday evening and Saturday. The roster has changed a bit since Phase III of OTAs , with some new player additions and some jersey number changes.
It's important to remember the NFL allows for duplicate jersey numbers during the offseason with one repeat jersey number on defense and one on offense. The Chiefs are one of the only NFL clubs with 10 or more retired jersey numbers, meaning they often have no choice but to repeat jerseys on the 90-man offseason roster. There are five or six instances of that right now, but when the team trims the offseason roster to 53 players, there won’t be any duplicate jersey numbers.
As you head out to training camp, be sure that you know which player you're watching with the guide down below. If they're a player wearing a duplicate. those in white jerseys are defense and those in red jerseys are offense.
